BLACK QUINOA

SCIENTIFIC NAME : CHENOPODIUM QUINOA

The quinoa is one of the richest heritage we have received from our ancestors. It is native to the Peruvian Andes and was also known as the “mother grain” during the Inca Empire.

It has gained a “Superfoods” reputation worldwide thanks to its high nutritional values and its capacity to be present in any diet, including gluten-free and vegan diets. It contains between 13% and 20% of protein, rich in Omega 6, fiber, minerals, and several amino acids important for the mental health and to the growth process. The FAO even considers the quinoa as the only food of the vegetable kingdom that provides all the essential amino acids.

There are many varieties of quinoa, but the most commercial are the white, red and black quinoas. We can offer our quinoa both organic and conventional quality according to our client’s needs.
